Soul Family

Disney raised me to be a Romantic

To believe in love

And happily ever after

Evolving the stories of Hans

Into palatable portions

For the masses

Dalí guided me to the underworlds

To believe in fate

And celebrate absurdity

Translating religion and reality

Into blasphemous bizarres

For those that dare

These two poles Combined

Equals Destino

Birthed after death

Realised post mordem

Reincarnated into

Another form

I call self

My adopted fathers taught

Me to step into my dreams

Becoming reality

Invisible to those

Unlike me

Hoping, pining

Testing and trying

I hunted for someone

That could see

Each time it failed

Each time it broke

Each time it blackened

Until a mountain formed

It took time

Some would say ages

I moved this mount

Off of my path

Unknowingly onto a fault

Did I mention my way

Is of the sea?

One day a creature came along

Legends said they were extinct

Rather they are very much alive

And doing well.
